"Gilbert at Valley Vista Landscaping responded promptly to my Yelp bid request to reroute four sprinkler lines around a concrete/flagstone deck. Gilbert scheduled a time to come take a look at the project and was punctual for our scheduled appointment. After looking at the project with Gilbert, and explaining to him what I was looking to have done, it was clear to me that Gilbert understood and that he was very knowledgeable about irrigation systems. Normally I would not hire a contractor with less than 25 Yelp reviews. (My wife was not happy that I was even considering hiring a contractor with only a handful of Yelp reviews!) However, having a construction background myself, after speaking with Gilbert, I had a very good feeling about his abilities. On my intuition and general feeling that Gilbert understood and would provide a quality job, I hired Valley Vista Landscaping for my project. Gilbert was very responsive and communicative throughout the project. Gilbert was calm, patient and made me feel like he really cared about the quality of the job that he was doing and the project as a whole. In fact, Gilbert went above and beyond - without being asked to do so he added two additional sprinkler heads to water a section of the lawn that was not being covered by my existing watering system - he did not ask for any additional payment! Gilbert saw an issue with my system and just fixed it! Gilbert and his crew exceeded my expectations for this job and the price was very fair. I have posted several Yelp reviews over the past many years. This review for Gilbert at Valley Vista Landscaping is one that is well deserved. "I called Gilbert and he was able to get me an appointment within two days. I have a sprinkler system with two stations and one had stopped working a couple of months ago. I didn't notice because they go off really early. Gilbert came by the house on the date that we had prescribed and exactly at the agreed time. He started by looking at the valves and noticed that the system would work manually. He then looked at my program box and figured out that the problem was there wasn't any time set for station 2. I don't know how that happened but I was happy that my system didn't need any major repair. He then told me not to worry about that he wasn't going to charge me anything for the job. I felt really grateful and asked him to quote me to add a sprinkler system to my backyard. He's very professional and really sincere. I look forward to working with him again. Definitely recommend.
